She's got a competition clutch with the four on the floor

And she purrs like a kitten till the lake pipes roar. And if that ain't enough to make you flip your lid

There's one more thing, I got the pink slip daddy. And comin' off the line when the light turns green

Well she blows 'em outta the water like you never seen. I get pushed out of shape and it's hard to steer

When I get rubber in all four gears. -Little Deuce Coupe- The Beach Boys

The radio was blaring songs by the Beach Boys as I scrubbed the car's tires in the blazing sun. The water hit the scorching asphalt causing the steam to rise. This is when I first noticed the curves and lines of my dad's Corvette. I was nine years old, and I had just begun my journey into the world of the automotive complexity of design.

I have spent my life surrounded by this subject matter, and have grown to love it for more than the strength and power these machines possess. I have developed an appreciation for the artistry and the detail put forth by the creators and engineers of this medium. Photographing a subject matter that I am passionate about adds another level of complexity to my art. It is my goal for this project to illuminate lines and details. Showcasing in an abstract way those elegant lines, curvilinear designs, and the sleek shiny elements.

Everything you see before you has developed over time. The result has evolved from something very simplistic to something others can appreciate. I hope you will discover the hidden artistry in my images and walk away remembering waxing your father's car on a hot summer day. It has always been my opinion that whatever my images say to the viewer is the right message. I am the conduit between the subject and the viewer's mind/imagination. That is my job as an artist and I take a strong sense of pride in my job.
